Platform Team
Platform Team¶
A Platform Team treats its internal tooling and infrastructure as a product, building self-service capabilities that Stream-Aligned Teams can consume without needing to ask for help. It invests in documentation, developer experience, and reliability so that consuming teams spend their mental energy on business problems rather than platform concerns. A Platform Team is successful when its users can deploy, observe, and operate their services independently without filing tickets or waiting for specialists, and this shift from a reactive ops team to a proactive platform model is one of the defining organisational moves in Team Topologies.
